Roche Ireland Appoints Mohammed Elghareeb as New General Manager

Roche has appointed Mohammed Elghareeb as the new General Manager of its Irish operations, effective immediately.

Since joining Roche in 2015, Elghareeb has progressed through various leadership positions including: Regional Launch Leader, Middle East & North Africa, Heart Failure; General Manager of Roche Saudi Arabia; Integrated Strategy Leader, Liver Cancer; and, most recently, Lifecycle Leader GI Cancers in Basel, Switzerland. As General Manager of Roche Saudi Arabia he established the first fully foreign-owned pharmaceutical company in the country. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Pharmaceutical Science from Alexandria University, Egypt.

With the upcoming EU Presidency and the much-anticipated National Life Science Strategy in development, this is an exciting moment to join Roche Ireland. Elghareeb succeeds Alison Muir, who has moved to a new position within Roche as Commercialisation Strategy Leader. Roche has been operating in Ireland for over 30 years and is Ireland’s leading provider of therapies for cancer and the number one supplier of hospital medicines in Ireland.
