We currently have vacancies in the following areas:

Position:

Manufacturing Technician

 
Role: To operate, within a team environment, a pharmaceutical processing facility in line with all stipulated regulatory, safety and organisational requirements.  
Responsibilities include:
  • Core processing tasks using lean Manufacturing tools
  • Setting, prioritising and completion of shift objectives, including non-core tasks
  • Sharing of responsibility for all shift objectives (safety, environment, production, housekeeping, quality)
  • Documentation of activities in line with good cGMP
  • Plant handover and recording of status
  • Preparation of plant for permitting
  • Upkeep of plant – housekeeping & workplace order
  • Involvement in continuous improvements activities
  • Personal development in a team environment
  • Other duties as required from time to time
 
Qualifications / Experience:
  • Leaving certificate with science subjects required
  • Third level technical  qualification desirable
  • Experience in a chemical processing GMP environment desirable
 
Skills Required:
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Team Player
  • Strong computer skills.
 
     

Position:

Experimental Assistant

 
Role:

To run the pilot plant on a day to day basis (Element of shift work will apply) Provide expertise in processing unit operations. To manufacture required production intermediates and the required quantities of intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients in order to register the site for new products/processes.

 
Responsibilities include:
  • Assist with the technology transfer of new products & processes from the Pilot Plant and laboratory to production
  • Set up and operation of equipment including checking of the entire pilot plant equipment train as per the batch sheet
  • Prepare Pilot Plant quantities of intermediates and active drug substances as required due to production demands
  • Carries out all activities in line with the requirements of the ISO 14001 Environmental standards and good housekeeping practices. Completes hazard & environmental risk assessments.
  • Assists with identification & implementation of improvements to existing Pilot Plant equipment & technology
 
Qualifications / Experience:
  • Degree in Chemistry or  Chemical Engineering
  • Experience working in a lab environment desirable
 
Skills Required:
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Awareness of requirements of working within a GMP environment
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Team Player
  • Strong computer skills.
