Our Code of Conduct guides all employees on acting with integrity at all times, and explains how to voice concerns ("whistleblowing"). Employees complete mandatory training to ensure they understand our Code of Conduct.
Our Performance Management Principles ensure that employee compensation considers not only the results they achieve, but also how they achieve them. In particular, the principles consider whether employees’ performance reflects our Roche Values.
The advertising of medicinal products in Ireland is regulated by the Medicinal Products (Control of Advertising) Regulations, 2007. These Regulations enact in Irish law Directive 2001/83/EC as amended by Directive 2004/27/EC relating to medicinal products for human use.
The Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Authority Codes of Practice
All pharmaceutical companies in Ireland, including Roche, are subject to the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Authority Codes of Practice in relation to the advertising and promotion of prescription and non – prescription medicines to doctors, pharmacists and consumers. Roche is a member of IPHA and is committed to meeting these codes of practice in all areas of our buisness.These Codes of Practice are put in place to ensure that the highest possible standards in the promotion and advertisting of medicines are upheld buy pharmaceutical companies in Ireland.
Code of Marketing Practice for the Pharmaceutical Industry
The Code of Marketing Practice for the Pharmaceutical Industry was prepared by the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association (IPHA) with a view to securing the universal acceptance and adoption of high standards of conduct in the marketing of medicinal products to healthcare professionals, whether intended for use under medical supervision or otherwise.

The Code of Standards of Advertising Practice for the Consumer Healthcare Industry covers advertisements for non-prescription medicines (also known as over-the-counter or OTC medicines) aimed at the general public, i.e. press, TV, radio, outdoor poster advertising and promotional activities in pharmacies for specific products.
